Welcome to the Dashers
Welcome to the website of the Datchet Dashers. We are a small running club based in Windsor (home of the Castle), close to London. We organise the Dorney Dash (formerly the Datchet Dash), a 10k road race that is held at Dorney Lake; visit the Dash page for more details.
We meet at 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our clubhouse in Home Park, Windsor.
On Tuesdays we normally do some speedwork or threshold running, while on Thursdays we run between 4 and 10 miles, depending on the season. Details of what’s planned can be found on our training schedule page. Runners of all ages, abilities and ambitions are welcome to join us. New runners are welcome to run with us for a few weeks before joining.
We are primarily a road-running club, but venture onto the country in the winter. Members race over most distances, from 5km all the way up to ultra-distance races such as the Comrades Marathon.
Everyone is welcome. If you are interested in coming down, please come down one evening, or contact the mens’ captain Tom Durance
or ladies’ captain Zoe Smart
if you have any questions.
What else is on the site?
The website is primarily in “blog” format, to see the latest articles please either go directly to the News page or to How to use this site. The site also has some static pages that sit outside the dynamic parts of the site; for example how to contact the committee, or how to find the club. Just click the links to these pages to go to them.
