Wimbledon Common 5k timetrial – 28 Mar 2009

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Paul Mason reports:

Don’t know if anyone has ventured to Wimbledon for this free time trial, I’m working over there and had to go in this morning so sneaked away and had a run.

The route is gravel paths through the trees with a couple of slippery bits but the two laps go by quickly, totally flat with a few tree roots to step over.

A child who finished tenth in the national schools cross country champs last week won this mornings race.

Any frustrated parents out there note that there were quite a lot of parents and children running. So no excuses about the kids stopping you getting out.

This was a PB yesterday for me. Also this time means that my son is no longer faster than me!
