First off, thanks to everyone who ran, helped, cheered, clapped, and ate pizza. I hope you all enjoy running it as much as I did (and I hope you didn’t feel quite so knackered at the end!).
This year something went wrong with my spreadsheet; somehow I failed to copy the correct formulae across the entire range of results, and consequently the prizes went astray – sorry! However, the prizes are secondary to the event, so I hope that the correct winners will forgive me my mathematical lapse!
Fastest team on the night were team 2 (Paul Woolley, Andrew Ogierman, Pam Jackson, Tony Curtin) in 41:54
Fastest team after h/cap applied: team 11 in 1:02:12 (Jean Hayton, Steve Hopkins, Paul Turnbull, Christopher Hunt), 3 of whom were faster than predicted. They won by 1s from team 14!

A roasting hot day to run a marathon, so congratulations to Jenny Guy who ran a remarkably even paced race to finish 188th lady in a time of 3:45:29, and an automatic Good For Age entry for the 2011 London Marathon. Brent Curless showed age is no barrier as just shy of his 54th birthday he ran a new personal best of 3:27:46, whilst Sarah Lester also ran an excellent race finishing 251st lady with a time of 3:50:44.
Zoe Kubiak ran the 5k event completing the course in 28:02 for 34th place, whilst Huw Thomas ran the 10k distance finishing in 50th position with a time of 48:21, a full 5 minutes faster than last year!
