Reminder 1 - We have three club championships; men’s, ladies’, and an overall age-graded championship, so everyone has a good chance. On top of that it’s the best 7 (for men) or 5 (for ladies) or 6 (for the age-graded) races that count, so with 8 races to go you could win even if you haven’t raced yet!

Reminder 2 - Age-grading is calculated from the world record for the same distance and is normalised for age and gender. For more details on how age-grading works, please see frequently asked questions on the Running for Fitness site, or feel free to ask one of the committee members. There is also a good online calculator if you’re curious as to how you would score.

There is now an age-graded category as well as Men’s/Ladies, so the older runners have a real chance. (I’m still last though!!)

1. 100 points are awarded for the first club member home, 98 for second, 96 for third, and so on…
2. The best 8 7 placings from 12 11 events score (so still wide open)
3. Club kit must be worn at Championship events to score points
4. Subscriptions must be paid during the year to be a trophy winner

Tadley Cross Country 2009

The next cross country – and next race in the club championship – takes place on January 9th, at Hurst Community College, Tadley, Hants RG26 5NL. The race starts at 11am, but the start is 10-15 minutes walk from the parking, so please get there in plenty of time.
