On a hot and humid day a number of dashers turned out for the championship race at Burnham

Rosemarie Delaney put in a great performance beating her p.b at Wokingham by >1min.  If anyone else got a p.b please let us know.

Great times for all at High Wycombe on Sunday, let me know if you got a pb.

Andrew Ogierman made the short journey over to Guernsey for the Fathers Day Half Marathon, finishing in 193rd position in a time of 2:03:55.

Paul Woolley went home to run this half marathon across the shifting sands of Morecambe Bay. The course has to be set on the morning of the race by the official Morecambe Bay guides, so it changes every year, but it still includes wading across a couple of rivers, running around quicksand and generally getting wet feet. Paul completed the course in 1:37:08 for an excellent 12th place overall - great result Paul. If you want something a little different that doesn’t include hills then this could be the race for you.

Continuing his good form since returning from injury, Tony came in on 1:27:48.  Placing him third for his age group.

The dashers group that travelled to Majorca did Datchet Dashers proud winning 3 prizes in the prestigious Pollensa half marathon. The race, although in a small Majorcan Town, attracts runners from mainland Spain and boasted two European Champions one of who was also a World Champion and both 2 hr 08 min Marathon runners. Chema Martinez who will represent Spain at this years World Championships won the European 10000 mtrs in 2002 and Martin Fiz who in 1995 won the World athletics Championship Marathon and came 4th in the 1996 Olympic Marathon. Pride of place goes to Julie Humphries who won her age category, and also set a new Datchet Dashers FV35 age record. Joanne Griffiths came 3rd in her age category and I managed 2nd place in mine. Mandy came third in her age category but it did not qualify for a prize as it was part of the senior women age category.

Chris Hunt completed the Hastings Half Marathon in a time of 1:31:20, finishing in 216th position.

Three Dashers braved braved the North Downs forest trails, hills and mud for the Bolt Round the Holt 10km and Half Marathon.

Steve Coleshill ran the Fleet Half Marathon, finishing in 1:40:57.

Good conditions this morning resulted in some excellent times. The top 4 all recorded PBs, as did Claudia McKenzie – let us know if you got one too.

Silverstone was rather windswept on Sunday, but Emma Harrisson completed her first half marathon in 2:39:45. Well done Emma

Andrew Ogierman made the trip over to Malta for the half marathon only to discover a heatwave that had even the locals complaining about the heat. Andrew completed the race in 709th position in a time of 2:10:52.

Big 6 minute PB for Mel, and I suspect a similar PB for Bella as well – congratulations
