5K Race Summer Series

Thames Valley Running Clubs Association Summer 5K Race Series

This is a friendly, low-key series of 5k road races that take place roughly fortnightly on Tuesdays or Wednesdays over the summer.

The series is for members of the participating clubs only - there are no uninvited guests. Therefore the venues for the races will not be publicly available on this website, but will be circulated to the club mailing list.

The dates and results of the races in the series can be found on the Thames Valley Association of Running Clubs website.

Please read the rules that have become necessary due to the popularity of the races and the associated parking and manageability problems.

Rules for Entry

  1. Each first claim club member is entitled to one entry, valid for the entire series. Numbers will be available from a committee member on any club evening. No numbers will be issued on the night of the race - you must enter the race series beforehand.
  2. Each club member will be issued only one race number which must be retained for all races in the series. No replacement numbers will be issued, so remember to keep hold of your number!
  3. The entry fee is £6.00 for the entire races series, no matter how many races you run. The club is subsidising members, who will only pay £3.00 this series.
  4. Members of the host club will only be able to race in their home fixture at the discretion of the committee or its appointed representative.
  5. Each first claim club member will be allowed to bring one guest to one race (only) in the series i.e. once you bring a guest to a 5k fixture, you can’t bring any more.
  6. Guest runners must be notified to the fixtures secretary (Nina Smith), by 7:00pm on the night of the race.
  7. The guest entry fee is £3.00 per race.
