A great event for a first race over the six-and-a bit miles:

An inspiring setting, the course is flat and smooth, every kilometre is marked, plenty of drinks, and you get a great medal when you finish.

A great opportunity for a Personal Best:

The course is accurately measured and certified, and start-to-finish chip timing system will ensure you get an accurate time and finish position. As last year we will have excellent pacers!

Prizes: first 3 men, first 3 ladies, veteran categories, team prizes (first 3 to count), plus medal and goody bag to all finishers

Bonuses: £150 for a winning man in a new course record (under 31:55) £150 for a winning lady in a new course record (under 35:04).

Directions to Dorney Lake

The postcode for Dorney Lake is SL4 6QP. Dorney Lake is in the village of Dorney, a short distance from M4 junction 7.

If you are coming from Windsor, the fastest and shortest route is up the towpath by bike; cycle past Boveney Lock up to St Andrews Boathouse (a large arched building) and take the footpath on the left-hand side of the boathouse.

If you’re coming by car…

  1. Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 7
  2. Go left onto the A4, direction Maidenhead, and over one set of traffic lights
  3. 500 yards further on, turn left at the roundabout by Sainsbury’s
  4. Follow the road to Dorney village
  5. When the road veers left, turn right into Court Lane, signposted to Dorney Court and Dorney Lake.
  6. Go past Dorney Court and turn left into the Dorney Lake site (it is clearly signed)
  7. Follow the road round to the left, then drive the length of the lake down towards the boathouse; marshals will direct you to park.
